Demo of the Connector, Back El, and NW Corner

A sentence you don’t want to read during your house renovation: “Upon digging the back el, the back foundation is loose rock and further excavation can or will compromise the structural integrity of the existing foundation.”

Unfortunately, in October 2024 we got exactly that message. The house foundation was partially built on rocks and boulders, and had to be completely re-dug and re-poured to save the NW corner of the house.

Before uncovering the foundation: nothing looks too scary, but just wait until you see what’s underneath!
